Open role
AI Program Lead —
keep the mission moving.
loomai deploys continuously learning AI decision systems inside large enterprises in regulated industries. The work is technically complex, the clients are sophisticated, and the stakes are real. We need someone who can own the client relationship, keep senior stakeholders aligned, and make sure momentum never stalls — on programs where AI is the core of what's being delivered.
The Role
You run the program. You own the room.
In practice, this means you are the person the client calls. You run the weekly steering meeting, manage competing priorities across business and technology stakeholders, and make sure the right people have the right information at the right time. When something is about to go sideways, you know before it does.
You also understand what's being built. Not at an engineering level — but well enough to ask the right questions, recognize when a technical decision has business consequences, and explain an AI system's behavior and limitations to a client executive who didn't ask for a technical briefing.
You've worked on AI programs before — implementations, deployments, transformations. You know the difference between a model that's been trained and a model that's been deployed. You know why "the AI said so" is not a sufficient answer in a regulated environment. That knowledge makes you a better program lead.
What You'll Do Day to Day
Concrete responsibilities, not vague ownership.
Client & Program
- Run the client engagement — own the weekly rhythm, the status, the escalations
- Own alignment across the client ecosystem — AI initiatives cut across marketing, technology, data, operations, and compliance; you make sure none of those boundaries become blockers
- Manage senior stakeholder relationships across business and technology — including competing agendas and organizational politics
- Navigate competing priorities to keep delivery on track without burning the relationship
- Identify risks before they become issues and bring a proposed path forward
- Think about what comes next — how the engagement grows, what the client needs before they ask
AI Program Context
- Own the value narrative with the client — translate what the AI system is delivering into business terms that resonate with executives
- Translate AI system behavior and limitations into plain language for client executives
- Know when to escalate a technical question versus when to answer it yourself
- Ensure client understanding of what AI is doing, how decisions are made, and where humans remain in the loop
- Use AI tools actively in your own program management work
- Work closely with our technical team — understand what they need from the client to succeed
How to Apply
Skip the resume. Show us how you think.
We ask for one thing up front: a short video. If it lands, we'll move to a conversation.
Respond to the prompt below. Use Loom, YouTube (unlisted), or a Google Drive link. We're watching how you think and how you communicate.
Email your video link and LinkedIn profile to careers@loomai.ai. One line on why loom·ai. Confirm you are authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
If your video resonates, we'll move to a 30-minute conversation with Tricia and David.
The Video Prompt
One question. Two to three minutes. Your voice.
Tell us about a program you led where you had to manage something harder than the work itself — the relationship, the politics, the perception. What was the situation, how did you handle it, and how did you make sure both sides came out of it intact?
No longer. How you structure your answer matters as much as what you say.
Don't script it. We want to hear how you actually talk about client work.
Real situation, real stakes. Generic answers tell us nothing useful.
What went wrong and what did you do? That's the most interesting part.
What We're Looking For
Program experience. AI fluency. Client confidence.
Must-Haves
- 3–6 years running client-facing programs in a consulting or professional services context
- Direct experience on AI, data, or analytics programs — not just general technology delivery
- Comfortable owning senior stakeholder relationships and managing hard conversations
- Experience aligning multiple functions across a large organization — AI initiatives don't stay in one lane and neither do you
- Can explain AI system behavior, trade-offs, and limitations to non-technical executives
- Actively using AI tools in your own work — not just aware of them
- Track record of delivering outcomes under pressure in ambiguous environments
Strong Plus
- Financial services or insurance background
- Experience managing programs where AI or ML models were in production
- Consulting firm background (Big 4, boutique, or strategy firm)
- Salesforce ecosystem familiarity
- Understanding of AI governance, explainability, or regulated AI deployment
